David Anthony kearns
for Florida House District 53

summary of the record

In 2012 Mr. Tobia campaigned on the development of jobs and small business.

As we can see in practice, the last two years, and indeed his entire career in the legislature, has been one of ignoring these very concepts, nearly entirely. If we look at the entire record we can pick out perhaps one, maybe two votes which actually helped his local business people. Six years, and we can pick out perhaps two votes which helped businesses locally?

Most of Representative Tobia's time, sadly, has been devoted to the ongoing process of dismantling public schools, social issues, the reduction of female reproductive choice rights, gun issues, anti-immigration stances, and shielding medical practitioners against lawsuits.

  • Scroll down and hit "Campaign Finance". Scroll again and hit"Submit Query Now" to see the array of donations from lobbyists, PACs, special interests etc. You'll notice nearly all donations are $500 or greater. Perhaps one or two are from within his district, if that. Many are out of state.

  • Scroll to the bottom of this page and hit the "Donate" button to perhaps (at least in part) attempt to even the odds in the favor of people, living breathing human beings, in this district and within the state of Florida.
